A new wave of phishing emails disguised as online order delivery notifications has been recorded in Russia. According to RIA Novosti, attackers are sending users emails with a message about an allegedly arrived parcel, offering to click on a link to clarify the method of receipt.
At first glance, such emails look like notifications from well-known delivery services or online stores, but the attached link leads to a fake website.
After the transition, the download of malicious software may automatically begin, which gives criminals remote access to the victim's device - a computer or smartphone.
Experts warn that such attacks are aimed at stealing personal data, passwords, banking information and may lead to loss of access to accounts or funds.
