In Russia, a fire control module has been patented that expands the combat and operational capabilities of military equipment. The development combines observation, measurement, and aiming systems, makes it possible to control the fire of several types of weapons at once, and the patent holder is OOO "VYSOTSPAS".
According to the abstract text, the system provides target search, detection, and identification, preparation of weapons for firing, aiming, and engagement of targets with the fire of the main and auxiliary armament. The authors note that the module is compatible with artillery guns, machine guns, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and missile launchers.
The key feature of the solution is an additional remote fire control module made in the form of separate portable casing enclosures. It should be noted that they are placed separately, outside the hull of the combat vehicle and its armament.
The units are dust-, moisture-, and impact-protected, equipped with autonomous power supply, and designed for operation in harsh field conditions.
The remote module is connected to the weapons systems by cables and makes it possible to conduct fire control outside the combat vehicle, reducing risks for the crew.
