A Russian Il-76TD military transport aircraft arrived in Iran with an unknown cargo on board. The aircraft belongs to the Belarusian airline "Rubistar".
The Telegram channel "Russkoe Oruzhie," citing a flight monitoring service, reported that this was already the fifth flight in the past 48 hours.
Recall that the Il-76 is a Russian heavy rear-ramp air freighter, originally developed as a military transport aircraft. In civil commercial aviation, the aircraft is used mainly for transporting industrial equipment, hazardous cargo, and self-propelled vehicles.
The aircraft is equipped with two onboard cranes, two winches, and a rear ramp with a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons. The maximum payload is 46 tons, the flight range with a 40-ton payload is 3,900 km, and the flight crew consists of 5 people.
