A Russian Il-76TD military transport aircraft arrived in Iran with an unknown cargo on board. The aircraft belongs to the Belarusian airline "Rubystar".
The Telegram channel «Русское оружие», citing a flight monitoring service, reported that this is the fifth flight in the last 48 hours.
As a reminder, the Il-76 is a Russian heavy ramp air freighter, created as a military transport aircraft. In civil commercial aviation, the aircraft is mainly used for transporting industrial equipment, dangerous goods, and self-propelled vehicles.
The aircraft is equipped with two onboard cranes, two winches, and a rear ramp with a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons. The maximum payload is 46 tons, the flight range with a payload of 40 tons is 3,900 km, and the flight crew consists of 5 people.
