The warheads of the Russian Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) are capable of hitting targets at depths of tens of meters. Military expert Viktor Litovkin named the advantages of the Russian complex.
According to him, a range of up to 5.5 thousand kilometers allows the "Oreshnik" to control a very large territory.
The main advantage of the complex is its hypersonic speed and the ability to hit targets at depths of up to 30 meters, including protected command posts.
As a reminder, the Oreshnik missile received a multiple warhead with individually guided units that attack the target at speeds of up to 10 Mach. This makes the Russian MRBM a difficult target to intercept.
Prior to this, a video showed for the first time combat vehicles from the Oreshnik complex. We are talking about four-axle military equipment on the MZKT-7930 chassis. These are likely mobile command posts or transport-loading vehicles.
The Oreshnik launcher itself only appeared in public once - as a model in the office of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
