The launch date for the mass production of AvtoVAZ's latest crossover, Lada Azimut, has been announced. The Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, announced that the first batch of cars will be produced in the third quarter of 2026. The cars will start rolling off the AvtoVAZ assembly line between July 1 and September 30, 2026.
Considering that new Lada models usually take some time to appear at dealerships after the start of production, it can be assumed that buyers will be able to purchase the Azimut no earlier than the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.
The world premiere of the crossover took place in June 2025 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Lada Azimut is based on a reinforced Lada Vesta platform. The car has a completely original body. The crossover will be offered with gasoline engines with a capacity of 120 to 150 hp.
