First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov announced significant progress in the development of universal aviation planning modules. According to him, the new generation of such systems is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 300 kilometers - several times greater than the first models.
Initially, such modules, built on the basis of aerial bombs and adapted for controlled planning, had a range of only 50–60 km. Gradually, due to aerodynamic optimization, improved guidance systems and weight reduction, this figure increased to 90–100 km. Now, according to Manturov, engineers are approaching a figure of 300 km, which dramatically expands the tactical capabilities of Russian aviation.
The modules allow for high-precision strikes against ground targets without the carrier entering the zone of modern air defense systems.
