A multi-purpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant (part of the Russian Helicopters Holding) has arrived in Magadan. It will join the fleet of Polar Airlines.
It took almost a week to ferry the rotorcraft. The press service of Russian Helicopters stated that the "eight" was well-controlled even in extremely low temperatures and strong winds.
Nikolai Kolesov, General Director of the holding, noted that the Mi-8 and its modifications are distinguished by reliability, adaptability, and multifunctionality.
This is an unpretentious piece of equipment that does not require hangar storage and provides the possibility of prompt maintenance even in the field.
The Mi-8MTV-1 is the third helicopter for Polar Airlines. The fourth "eight" is on its way.
