Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Highlights the Importance of Technological Sovereignty

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that Russia is ready to offer its African partners advanced technologies, including developments in the field of space exploration.

Genuine economic sovereignty is impossible without innovative technological solutions and appropriate staffing support. We are ready to offer our partners advanced developments in mechanical engineering, electric power, geological exploration, pharmaceuticals, as well as in high-tech areas, including digital technologies and space exploration.

According to him, Russia is actively working on training professional personnel for African countries. Over the past five years, the number of African students studying in Russia has doubled to over 32,000, and the number of Russian scholarships for Africa has almost tripled. The most popular specialties include agriculture, engineering, electric power, oil and gas, construction, medicine, and pedagogy, the minister added.
