The Republic of Buryatia is actively expanding the production of "Burgad" FPV drones, designed to perform a wide range of combat and logistical tasks. This was announced by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investments of the region, Denis Garmaev. According to him, the devices are used for tactical reconnaissance, mine laying, precision targeting of enemy objects, as well as delivering cargo and ammunition to the front lines.
Drones are regularly refined based on observations from the military. The company also produces ground control stations.
Production is organized within the territory of advanced development (TAD) "Patriotic", where the production of electronic warfare systems and tracked multifunctional ground robots is also being developed.
The government of Buryatia emphasized that the TAD creates conditions for the production of competitive military equipment that is in demand in the current environment.
In addition, funding has already been planned for 2026 for new lines of drones with improved tactical and technical characteristics, adapted to the requests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted during a direct line that the country is experiencing a shortage of heavy unmanned aerial vehicles, but this problem is being actively worked on jointly with the defense industry and will be resolved in the near future.
