Following a Journalist's Appeal to Putin, the Ministry of Digital Development Will Include Services for Diabetics in the "White List"

Only localized or domestic diabetes management applications will be able to operate under internet restrictions

The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia is finalizing the inclusion of services with sensors for diabetics in the list of permitted resources ("white list"). This was announced by Deputy Minister of Digital Development Dmitry Ugnivenko.

Only services of "Russian production" or localized in Russia will be included in the "white list". This will allow users to continue using applications even during blockages or restrictions on mobile internet.

The initiative gained additional momentum after an appeal from Anna Rudchenko, a journalist from the Belgorod State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, to President Vladimir Putin during the "Year-End Review." She asked to include medical applications for diabetics in the list of permitted resources so that parents could remotely monitor their children's blood sugar levels.
