St. Petersburg drivers found justification for speeding

The results showed that 9 out of 10 drivers surveyed are calm about violations

A recent survey conducted by the companies "Magistral Severnoy Stolitsy" and ZSD revealed interesting trends in the behavior of St. Petersburg drivers. 11 thousand motorists participated in the study.

95% of respondents consider a slight speeding acceptable, and 58% are willing to drive faster than 20 kilometers per hour.

At the same time, running a red light causes sharp condemnation - 91.3% of respondents think so.

According to the survey, 37% of drivers consider speeding up to 20 km/h acceptable. The rest of the respondents (58%) explained this behavior by various circumstances, including modern cars and free roads. Only 5% of participants perceived the excess as an unacceptable violation.

Motorists also point to violations of parking rules, which are perceived as justified in some cases. 63.8% of respondents admitted that they are ready to leave the car in the parking lot against the rules, if there are no other options. It is important to note that such actions are often explained by the short duration or the lack of alternative parking spaces.

Disagreements also concern stopping on the highway. 47.1% of participants considered this action acceptable, while 52.7% considered it unacceptable.
