According to Vladimir Putin, sometimes he gets behind the wheel himself and drives without a traffic police escort to see how people live.
He stressed that such events as the direct line help to hear his people.
2.5 million people applied to the direct line. These 2.5 million appeals are related to the pressing problems of people.
The President noted that it is direct communication with people and sociological surveys that allow him to assess the life of Russian citizens. However, the average figures "do not correspond in any way to what people face in real life."
