In the first quarter of 2026, new "Moskvich" models, the M70 and M90 crossovers, will appear in dealerships. This was announced by Dmitry Makarychev, director of "Avilon Moskvich." According to him, the cars will occupy positions in the C-SUV and D-SUV segments and will become an important stage in the development of the brand, which is actively expanding its lineup after its revival.
As clarified in the press service of the "AvtoSpetsCenter" Group, the front-wheel-drive "Moskvich M70" will cost about 3.5 million rubles. The larger and seven-seater "Moskvich M90" will be more expensive and aimed at large families, summer residents, and travel enthusiasts.
The company emphasized that the M70 is positioned higher than the current "Moskvich 3," and the M90 will become the flagship of the brand and the first all-wheel-drive model in the history of the updated brand.
Both models have already been launched into production at the Moscow plant. The crossovers are built on a new platform and have received their own corporate identity in the form of a Kremlin wall зубца — a symbol of belonging to the Russian engineering school.
The cars will be equipped with turbocharged engines, working in tandem with a 9-speed "automatic". The M70 is equipped with 1.5 and 2 liter engines, and the M90 will only receive a 2-liter engine and all-wheel drive. Later, an all-wheel drive version of the M70 will also appear.
According to experts, the main competitors of the new products will be Chinese brands — Haval, Chery, OMODA, EXEED, Geely and Voyah, which have already gained a foothold in the Russian market. However, representatives of "Moskvich" expect that the combination of local assembly, a new platform and a recognizable brand will allow them to successfully compete in the growing segment of mid-size crossovers.
