By the end of 2025, SSJ-100 regional jets will carry 2.4 million passengers as part of the "Rossiya" airline's shuttle program on the St. Petersburg — Moscow route. This figure represents almost half of the population of the Northern capital and demonstrates the key role of the domestic aircraft in providing domestic air transportation. Throughout 2024–2025, the regularity of their flights remains at 97%, which indicates the high reliability and readiness of the equipment for intensive operation.
Since the summer of 2024, SSJ-100 aircraft, manufactured by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec), have become the basis of the "Shuttle" program, providing high-frequency flights between the two largest cities in the country. To date, 159 SSJ-100 units of various modifications are in commercial operation.
As early as 2026, serial deliveries of a fully import-substituted version of the SSJ-100 will begin — with engines and onboard systems exclusively of Russian production.
