Military observers have recorded an unusual find in one of the Russian army units — the legendary ZAZ-965 car, produced from 1960 to 1969, was spotted on the territory of the military unit. The car, which is not a standard piece of equipment for the armed forces, has undergone significant changes: the roof and doors were removed, a reinforced bumper was installed, and the body was painted in camouflage colors.
The open layout of the body significantly increases the mobility of military personnel: in the event of a threat, they can instantly leave the vehicle without wasting time opening doors or breaking glass.
Despite its modest technical parameters, the "Zaporozhets" was known for its endurance and simple design — qualities that probably allowed it to find application again even half a century after it rolled off the assembly line.
