Soyuz-2.1b Rocket Assembled at Vostochny Cosmodrome for Launch of Aist-2T Satellites

Blocks are docked, pneumatic tests and system checks are being prepared before the launch on December 20

The assembly of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, which will put two Aist-2T satellites into orbit, has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The side and central blocks have been successfully docked and are ready for pneumatic tests of the propulsion systems and autonomous testing of the measurement system.

The Aist-2T satellites are designed for stereo imaging of the Earth and creating three-dimensional digital models of the terrain, which will allow for rapid monitoring of emergency situations and real-time monitoring adjustments.

The rocket launch is scheduled for December 20, and preparations are proceeding according to plan.
