The aircraft was developed at the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The Su-57 will replace the Su-27 heavy fighter as part of the program to update the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft fleet.

The first flight of the fifth-generation fighter took place in 2010. Its operation began 10 years later. Serial production of the Su-57 has now been established in Russia.

Rosoboronexport is actively promoting the aircraft on the international market. It is presented at air shows by master pilot Sergey Bogdan.
