Russia and India could strengthen and expand cooperation in the energy sector. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin following talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. His words are reported by the Kremlin press service.

According to the head of state, Russia fulfills its obligations to supply India with energy resources and everything necessary for the development of the energy sector.

Putin emphasized that Rosatom is currently helping to build the country's largest nuclear power plant, Kudankulam. At the same time, 2 of the 6 reactors are already connected to the power grid, and construction work is underway on 4 more.

The President added that Russia could expand cooperation with India in the field of nuclear technologies: build small modular reactors and floating nuclear power plants.
