Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that during a working trip to the Central Federal District (CFD), he discussed with responsible persons the implementation of the state defense order and the supply of particularly demanded types of weapons to the Russian Armed Forces. In the current conditions, enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Russia continue to produce a significant amount of various types of weapons.
The Security Council of Russia is an advisory body whose members assist the head of state, including on issues of ensuring the integrity of borders and protecting the country from external threats. The post of Chairman of the Council is held by President Vladimir Putin.
Dmitry Medvedev, within the scope of his authority, regularly inspects defense industry enterprises and examines samples of new weapons. In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council makes visits to countries friendly to Russia. In October 2025, he visited the weapons exhibition of the Korean People's Army in Pyongyang.
