Rostov Customs transferred a set of spare parts for two Il-76 military transport aircraft worth a total of 1.42 billion rubles to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The components were previously seized from a foreign company that had not completed customs clearance within the established time frame.
Spare parts, including fuselages, wing parts, flaps, rails, keel ridges, landing gear and their parts, were imported into Russia by a foreign company several years ago.
As clarified in the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS), the violation was detected during control measures. Administrative cases were initiated against the company under Part 3 of Article 16.19 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation — for failure to complete the customs procedure requiring mandatory completion within the established period.
Following the results of the trial, the aviation components were confiscated as state revenue and transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for further use in the interests of the defense complex.
