Su-30 series fighters of all modifications remain in demand in Russia and abroad. In total, about 700 units were built, according to the Technosphere Russia publication, citing sources.
According to preliminary estimates, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have about 100 aircraft, and more than 30 are in service with the Navy.
The largest operator of the Su-30 abroad is India. The Republic has been purchasing domestic aircraft since the 1990s, and in recent years has launched a licensed assembly of the Su-30MKI version with the supply of engines, components of onboard equipment and missile weapons from Russia. The country has about 260 fighters of this type in service.
