The Russian aviation industry has confirmed its readiness to produce and supply the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter under export contracts. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, head of Rosoboronexport, to TASS.
Mikheev stated that the Su-57E remains the only fifth-generation fighter that has participated in combat operations in conditions of saturated modern air defense and electronic warfare systems.

At the Dubai Airshow 2025 international aerospace exhibition, the Su-57E demonstrated its capabilities in the Middle East for the first time. The aircraft was piloted by Honored Test Pilot, Hero of Russia Sergei Bogdan, who showed aerobatic maneuvers. The Russian fighter returned to the runway to applause.
Honored Test Pilot, Hero of Russia and Chief Pilot of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Sergei Bogdan, stated that the purpose of the Su-57's aerobatics was to demonstrate super-maneuverability. According to him, the aircraft is equipped with two engines with thrust vectoring, which allows it to perform maneuvers at near-zero speeds, reach high angles of attack, and perform spin rotations.
According to Bogdan, such capabilities give the Su-57 advantages in aerial combat. Despite changes in the tactics of modern aerial combat, the maneuvers demonstrate a key quality of the aircraft — maintaining controllability in all flight modes.
On any other aircraft, the pilot must clearly monitor flight parameters to avoid critical modes in which controllability is lost. The Su-57 does not lose controllability under any circumstances, the pilot emphasized.
