«Бюро 1440» показало прототип терминала спутниковой связи для поездов

The device provides stable communication at speeds up to 400 km/h

The Russian company «Bureau 1440» has presented a prototype of a satellite terminal designed for railway transport. The device is designed to operate on various types of trains — from locomotives to high-speed trains — and provides stable communication with the satellite even when moving at speeds up to 400 km/h. The terminal is also adapted to a wide range of temperatures and vibrations, which makes it suitable for operation in any climatic conditions.

The new terminal operates from the electric network of the rolling stock with a voltage of 110 V and provides a stable connection to the Internet through low-orbit satellites.

The company notes that the technology will not only improve passenger comfort, but also introduce unmanned control systems, flexibly plan schedules and monitor train traffic regardless of route or speed.

«Bureau 1440» is the operator of its own low-orbit satellite constellation, providing broadband Internet with speeds up to 1 Gbps and minimal delays. The main consumers of the technology will be transport companies, energy, industry, telecom operators and emergency services, as well as companies in the field of tourism and geological exploration.

Stable satellite communication on the railway opens the way to the digitalization of the transport industry, improving safety and introducing autonomous technologies. In addition, it will allow maintaining an Internet connection even on remote routes where traditional networks are not available.
