Fraudsters have begun requesting photos of passports from applicants under the pretext of allegedly verifying identity. Criminals have come up with a scam where they pretend to be employers.
Attackers conduct conversations with candidates through messengers and demand that they send a photo of their passport to confirm personal data. It is strongly not recommended to send confidential data to strangers.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reminds that fraudsters are actively looking for couriers for their criminal schemes, posting job advertisements in various chats. They promise a flexible work schedule without revealing the real working conditions.
