The newest Russian medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBM) "Oreshnik" have already been put on combat duty in the Russian Armed Forces. This was announced by military expert Vasily Dandykin.
As far as I know, the first complex has been put on combat duty. If it is mass-produced, then it has gone further.
Dandykin explained that "Oreshnik" will be produced in sufficient quantities to inflict great damage on the enemy. In his opinion, the missiles can be used to destroy particularly important objects, such as military-industrial complex enterprises.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of mass production of Oreshnik missile systems. The military-industrial complex is also working on a new generation of nuclear-powered cruise missiles — in the future, they will become hypersonic.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the newest Sarmat intercontinental missiles will go on combat duty in 2026.
