АЭС «Аккую» получила ключевое оборудование для автоматизации энергоблока №1

The automated system ensures coordination of all unit systems

The delivery of the automated process control system (APCS) equipment for Unit 1 has been completed at the construction site of the first Turkish nuclear power plant, Akkuyu NPP. The delivery, carried out by Rosatom's division - JSC "Rosatom Automated Control Systems" (RASU), includes 42,000 units of equipment with a total weight of 555 tons.

The APCS is responsible for monitoring and coordinating all the main technological processes of the plant: from reactor parameters to the operation of auxiliary systems.

Technological processes at a nuclear power plant require coordinated operation of dozens of systems and units. A high degree of automation allows a small number of personnel to effectively manage the plant.

The modern unit with a VVER-1200 reactor is equipped with the latest APCS components, developed on the basis of many years of experience in the Russian nuclear industry, which ensures high operational safety.

The delivery set included control cabinets, controllers, computing modules and auxiliary elements necessary for the functioning of reactor control and protection systems. Currently, specialists are completing the installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as its integration with the unit's infrastructure, which will be a key stage before the start of the reactor plant's cold and hot run-in - testing that simulates the operating conditions of the plant.

The automated control system is actually the "brain" of the power unit. It ensures the coordination of all systems, minimizing the risk of human error and increasing operational efficiency. Similar systems have long been used at Russian nuclear power plants.
