The Vostochny Cosmodrome continues to operate as usual. The temporary power supply restriction does not affect the construction of the Angara rocket and space complex (RKC) launch complex, the cosmodrome's directorate said.
The Vostochny Cosmodrome is operating normally. The restriction of electricity to the construction sites of the Vostochny Cosmodrome does not concern strategically important sites. Moreover, it will not affect the construction of the Angara rocket and space complex launch complex in any way. According to the contractor PSO Kazan, the debt will be repaid by the end of November
The general contractor for the second stage of construction of the cosmodrome is PSO Kazan.
Earlier, the Far Eastern Energy Company (DЭK) announced a partial restriction of power supply to the general contractor's facilities due to debts of over 51 million rubles for consumed resources. In particular, the restrictions affected facilities at the Angara launch complex site. The energy company also announced its intention to apply to the court with a request to declare PSO Kazan bankrupt.
The second stage of construction of Vostochny includes infrastructure for launching Angara family rockets, which should become the basis of Russian manned and cargo missions in the coming years. The launch complex is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Angara launch complex sites at Vostochny were left without electricity due to the contractor's debts.
