Концерн «Калашников» завершил интеграцию беспилотника «КУБ» с разведывательными БПЛА «СКАТ-350М»

The complex synchronizes reconnaissance with the combat module and simplifies the targeting process

The Kalashnikov Group has announced the completion of work on integrating the KUB loitering munition with its own SKAT-350M family of reconnaissance UAVs. According to the company, after a lengthy refinement of the original KUB version, a complex was formed in which the reconnaissance platform and the munition act as a single solution for searching and engaging targets.

In terms of design and functionality, the new kit is compared to reconnaissance and strike solutions from other manufacturers — in particular, the combination of the Lancet combat module and the Z-16 UAV from ZALA. The integration made it possible to combine the functions of observation, target recognition, and their engagement.

It is also noted that, apparently, the work also affected the updated version of the KUB-2: the complex probably received an optoelectronic system, a homing system, and improved flight characteristics, which should increase the accuracy and efficiency of use. The group has not yet disclosed the exact technical parameters and timing of mass production.

Experts note that the integration of reconnaissance data and munitions into a single system is in line with the modern approach to the development of small combined strike complexes. This reduces the time from target detection to strike and increases the maneuverability of troops on the battlefield. However, the degree of readiness of the KUB-2 for mass production and its real capabilities have not yet been fully confirmed by the manufacturer.
