About Rusnano

The idea to create a state corporation that would deal with promising technological developments appeared in 2007. Soon, Rusnanotech was created, which was renamed Rusnano in 2008.

The state corporation was headed by politician Anatoly Chubais (held the position of General Director until 2020). Under his leadership, Rusnano built 115 enterprises in various regions of Russia and financed 109 projects for a total amount of more than 500 billion rubles.

In 2011, JSC Rusnano was created on the basis of the state corporation through reorganization. At the same time, 100% of the company's shares were state-owned.

In 2013, the Accounts Chamber of Russia announced the inefficient use of funds. And by 2021, financial problems became difficult to hide. A year later, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Rusnano, Sergei Kulikov, appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation with a request to check the company's activities under the previous leadership.
