The Arctic emergency rescue tug "Favor" of project NE025 successfully completed a control exit in the waters of the port of Arkhangelsk and confirmed the operability of all systems and equipment.
Following the tests, the vessel confirmed the class specified in the state contract — KM Arc4 (hull, machinery) R1 AUT3 FF3WS Tug.
"Favor" will be assigned to the port of Arkhangelsk and sent to work on the routes of the Northern Sea Route, the Marine Rescue Service reported. This is the fifth vessel in the NE025 series. It is named after Mount Tabor, located on the island of Muksalma in the Solovetsky archipelago.
The Arc4 ice-class tug is designed to participate in emergency rescue operations, ensure the safe maneuvering of large vessels in difficult conditions, assist in firefighting, tow non-self-propelled vessels, install and remove navigation marks, and support the dredging fleet. The construction of the NE025 series is being carried out as part of the development of the Northern Sea Route infrastructure until 2035 and the implementation of the federal project "Northern Sea Route."
Earlier www1.ru reported that the carrier of uninhabited underwater vehicles, the minesweeper "Afanasy Ivannikov", worked out elements of course task K-2 in the Barents Sea.
