Su-57 fighter jet uses new stealth missile Kh-69 for the first time

Maximum flight speed of the munition is 1000 km/h

The crew of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet used the latest Kh-69 missile for the first time. The munition is practically invisible to air defense radar.

Other carriers of the Kh-69 are the Su-30SM, Su-34 and Su-35 fighters. However, the most important advantage of the Su-57 over them is the ability to "hide" the missile inside the fuselage, providing the aircraft with stealth.

Sergei Bogatikov, General Director of the Russian design bureau GosMKB "Raduga", explained that the Kh-69 is the first and so far the only cruise missile in the world long-range, placed inside the armament compartments of front-line aircraft.

The maximum flight range of the Kh-69 is up to 290 km, depending on the configuration, the mass of the warhead is 300-310 kg. Cruising speed is 700-1,000 km/h, flight altitude above the ground is from 20 m.

As a reminder, the Kh-69 is universal, it is placed both in internal weapons bays and on external suspensions. Rosoboronexport also indicated the Kh-69 in the list of Su-57 weapons.
