New footage of an experienced prototype of the Chinese heavy three-engine multirole sixth-generation J-36 fighter has appeared online. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that some of the aircraft's design solutions are similar to Russian developments from 20 years ago.
In particular, the J-36 received reinforced bogies for the rear landing gear struts with a tandem arrangement of wheels, like on the Russian Su-34 fighter.
It is noted that this design reduces the specific pressure on the airframe and aircraft equipment. The arrangement of the wheels one after the other allows to reduce the load on the runway, distributing the weight of the combat vehicle over a larger area.
In addition, thanks to the bogie system, the fighter can take off and land even on unpaved airfields. It is worth recalling that the Su-34 went into serial production in 2006.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Il-38 reconnaissance aircraft flew around the newest US aircraft carrier: footage appeared online.
