As part of the development of the "People's BOLT" project, the "Mechanics" company, acting as a partner of MSITC, has developed a prototype of a light pickup truck. The working title of the project is "Cheburan".
The prototype is based on the component base of the VAZ-2108 family of cars.
The car, designed to be an affordable and reliable assistant for a wide range of consumers, is characterized by its simple design and maintainability, making it an ideal choice for rural areas, small businesses, and enthusiasts looking for a versatile vehicle.
The "Cheburan" prototype demonstrates the potential for further modernization and adaptation to various needs. "Mechanics" engineers are already working on options with increased payload capacity, the possibility of installing additional equipment, and even modifications for off-road use.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the certification of Il-114 and SJ-100 is scheduled to be completed in early 2026.
