The merged company Wildberries & Russ (RVB LLC) has acquired one of Russia's largest tour operators, Fun&Sun, from structures of Alexey Mordashov's Severgroup. This was reported by the Izvestia newspaper, citing a source familiar with the terms of the deal.
According to the source, the purchase price is estimated at 15–16 billion rubles (approximately $200 million). The parties have not officially commented on the deal.
The integration of the tour operator into the Wildberries ecosystem could lead to the creation of a unified digital platform where users can not only buy goods but also purchase tours.
Experts believe that the marketplace is looking for ways to develop in the travel market, where it currently lags behind key competitors — Ozon and Yandex.
Fun&Sun was founded in 2009 on the basis of a joint venture between Severgroup and TUI Group. Since 2008, the controlling stake has been held by the Cypriot company Unifirm Ltd, associated with Mordashov. Until 2022, the tour operator operated under the TUI Russia brand, after which it changed its name. It currently collaborates with approximately 12,000 travel agents, and the company's revenue for 2024 exceeded 104 billion rubles, with a net profit of about 5 billion rubles. Considering the debt burden, the business value may reach 50–60 billion rubles.
In July 2025, Wildberries & Russ registered the RVB Travel division, which is engaged in tour operator activities, organizing excursions, and providing booking services.
