As part of its export strategy, AvtoVAZ is ready today to launch up to seven assembly plants for Lada cars abroad: three in the CIS countries, and two each in Africa and the Middle East.

The top manager noted that with the current key rate and without government assistance in preferential lending, the launch of such projects may not be appropriate.

At the end of 2024, AvtoVAZ increased Lada exports by more than four times, sending over 20,000 cars abroad. Sokolov stated that in 2025 the company plans to export 30,000 cars if the ruble exchange rate returns to the levels of the end of 2024.
