The Russian government intends to allocate over 9 billion rubles for the creation of a sea ferry in the Far East and the construction of ice-class rescue vessels. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The government has allocated additional funding for the construction of ships. It is important that our shipyards can reach high rates of work in the near future, so that shipping companies can put modern, high-quality equipment into operation more quickly.
The allocated funds will be used to build a sea ferry, which will ensure regular passenger traffic in the region. Funding will also help in the creation of ice-class service and rescue vessels needed for the full organization of transportation along the Northern Sea Route.
It is also planned to complete the construction of a marine diving vessel, which will be operated in Crimea, thereby expanding the options for using the fleet for rescue and commercial operations.
Earlier www1.ru reported that investments in the modernization of the "Northern Shipyard" may amount to 600 billion rubles.
