Rostec presented the domestic quantum chemical platform Qphorus

The platform allows modeling and analyzing molecules and materials with specified properties

RT-Tekhpriemka company of Rostec State Corporation presented the first domestic quantum chemical platform Qphorus at the "Code of Industry 2025" conference in Ufa. It is designed for digital modeling and visualization of the structure of molecules and materials with specified properties. The development is carried out jointly with Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the launch for widespread use is scheduled for 2026.

The platform combines the functions of a molecule editor, visualizer, computing terminal, and analytical module. Qphorus allows users to build three-dimensional models of molecules, perform quantum chemical calculations, and analyze the results — from electronic structure to reaction mechanisms. This makes it possible to predict the properties of substances even before their laboratory synthesis.

The Qphorus platform opens the way to a new generation of researchers — students, engineers, scientists — who will be able to work with molecules and materials without leaving a single digital environment. This is a tool that changes the approach to developing innovative solutions and directly affects the competitiveness of industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and the chemical industry
Vladlen Shorin, General Director of RT-Tekhpriemka

By the end of the year, it is planned to create a teaching and methodological complex for platform users, and by 2028, Qphorus will be implemented in 150 Russian universities. The project is important because it lays the foundation for an independent domestic ecosystem of quantum chemical calculations, reduces dependence on foreign software, and accelerates the introduction of scientific developments into industry.
