Беспилотный подводный дрон с мини-торпедами запатентовала военно-морская академия им. Кузнецова

The device is capable of recognizing suppression and launching mini-torpedoes to neutralize anti-torpedoes

The Admiral Kuznetsov Naval Academy has patented an unmanned underwater vehicle with mini-torpedoes for engaging naval targets. The patent describes the design, combat capabilities, and control algorithms.

The device is equipped with an onboard detection system with optical, magnetic, and hydroacoustic channels, a control system, remote control and homing, as well as a compartment with explosives and a power plant. The hull houses one or more launchers with a mini-torpedo, equipped with a gas generator or powder accumulator.

The document notes the presence of a non-contact route data input device and a computing device for distributing targets between mini-torpedoes. The description of the device's operation includes receiving target data, calculating the route, and entering the task into the onboard control system, after which the product is launched and moves to the object independently or under the control of the operator.

If the target uses hydroacoustic suppression and anti-torpedo protection, the device recognizes these means, adjusts the maneuver, and activates its own suppression system. Upon detection of an anti-torpedo, the device calculates a solution for launching a mini-torpedo and transmits the corresponding data to the ammunition control devices; then the mini-torpedo is launched to meet the enemy's anti-torpedo. After that, the drone continues its course to the main target and engages it using a homing system.

The authors of the patent emphasize that the technical result of the development is the creation of a device capable of detecting and destroying enemy naval objects, overcoming their hydroacoustic suppression, anti-torpedo protection, and anti-torpedoes.
