Производство синтетических присадок для моторных масел впервые наладили в России

Sulfonate additives are produced from domestic components

At the Russian Energy Week, Gazpromneft-Lubricants announced the launch of production of the first batch of sulfonate additives from domestic components. These high-tech substances are used in the creation of synthetic motor oils.

We launched the HDP complex and put into operation a modernized plant for the production of sulfonate additives. This allowed us not only to expand production, but also to be the first in Russia to start producing synthetic motor oils from domestic components.
Anatoly Skoromets, General Director of Gazpromneft-Lubricants

The наладка of new products is carried out at the updated plant for the production of sulfonate additives, located at the Omsk Lubricants Plant.

Synthetic sulfonates are highly active substances that form the basis for modern motor oils. They have improved detergent and anti-corrosion properties, and are effective in neutralizing oil and fuel oxidation products. These qualities prevent the formation of deposits, carbon deposits and lacquer films under high temperature conditions.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Yaroslavl Motor Plant released its own SAE 5W-40 motor oil for YaMZ diesels.
