Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov approved the initiative to include phygital sports modules in school physical education lessons, the ministry's press service reports. This idea was previously proposed by the Ministry of Sports.
Currently, the physical education curriculum covers 32 sports. Kravtsov emphasizes that phygital sports represent a promising direction that needs to be developed among young people. According to the minister, the Ministry of Education, together with the All-Russian Phygital Sports Federation, is working on a project for an optional module.
Phygital sports combine competitions in digital and physical formats, where you need to score the most points in both types of competitions.
