Cooperation between the Russian Navy and the Vietnamese Navy has been going on for more than 70 years. Representatives of the state and military leadership of Vietnam have repeatedly stated that they will always remember the heroism of Soviet sailors who assisted in the struggle for the country's independence.

Peaceful interaction between countries is traditionally supported by friendly visits of ships of the Pacific Fleet. Also, after the official program, the sailors are scheduled to visit attractions and get acquainted with the local culture of Vietnam.
