Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation will be able to announce the emergence of new types of weapons in the near future. He stated this at a press conference following his visit to Tajikistan.
New weapons are appearing, undergoing testing, and they are going successfully. We are refining it, and I think we will have the opportunity to announce in the near future a new weapon that we once announced.
The head of state did not specify exactly what kind of weapon he was talking about.
During his speech at the Valdai Forum on October 2, Putin reported that Russia may have a new hypersonic weapon, and work is underway in this direction.
Earlier, the head of state stated that Russian troops will receive serial models of new means of destruction. He emphasized that Russia is implementing a program of comprehensive re-equipment of the fleet and army.
It should be noted that advanced tactical weapons appear regularly in the Russian military. Mostly it is about drones or missiles.
