The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) presented a model of the Arc4 ice-class tanker-gas carrier "Synergy".
This is the first tanker-gas carrier consisting almost entirely of Russian components. About 90% of the components and equipment of "Synergy" are produced in Russia, which is critical for strengthening technological sovereignty and ensuring the national security of our country and the development of domestic shipbuilding. The vessel was developed for the needs of Gazprom's LNG complex in the port of Ust-Luga. It will significantly strengthen Russia's position in the market for maritime transportation of liquefied natural gas.
The tanker, which received the working designation "LNG-4", is capable of transporting up to 170 thousand cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and developing a speed of up to 19.5 knots. Its length will be 299 meters, and its width will be 47 meters. The gas carrier's hull consists of 18 large blocks.
The vessel will be built at the Northern Shipyard of the USC.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an atomic submarine tanker-gas carrier will be created in Russia.
