In Russia, a new heavy FPV drone "Zanoza" with control via fiber optic cable "Leska" has been created. The "Groza" group of companies said that trained operators are able to effectively hit over 80% of targets.
"Zanoza" is a modular device equipped with standard interception protection. The device can work with different components on radio control and has the function of switching from one control frequency to another.
Trained operators on this fiber optic have more than 80% successful target hits. This is a very high figure.
In total, up to 120 units of "Zanoza" are built monthly in Russia. "Groza" recalled that this is also a high pace, because ordinary small FPV drones are produced much faster.
The working range of "Zanoza" is 10-15 km, the drone can carry up to 20 kg of payload to the target and return to base. The main combat unit is the TM-62 anti-tank mine.
Another modification of "Zanoza" is used as a cable layer between positions. The drone is equipped with a special coil with a fiber optic wire, after which the drone lays it itself.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian space forces detected launches of more than 1,300 missiles in 2025.
