A photo of the modernized PTH-130 mod.2025 self-propelled artillery unit in service with the Vietnamese army has gone viral on social networks. The system is installed on the chassis of a four-axle KamAZ-6560 all-terrain vehicle of Russian production.
As is clear from the name, the combat vehicle is armed with a long-range 130-mm M-46 gun of the 1953 model. The cab of the all-terrain vehicle has been reinforced and additionally protected with armor from shrapnel and bullets.
According to the photo, we can conclude that Vietnam, thanks to its military ingenuity, has acquired a cheap and fast self-propelled artillery unit.
With a barrel length of more than seven meters, the M-46 is capable of hitting a range of about 27 km, the standard weight of the gun is about 7 tons, but it has become less without wheels.
KAMAZ-6560 is a heavy off-road chassis with an 8x8 wheel arrangement, designed for mounting specialized equipment, including Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems. The car is equipped with a 400 hp engine and a mechanical 16-speed ZF gearbox.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a Russian swarm of drones will be controlled from a group of satellites.
