Footage of an alleged fragment of a solid-propellant rocket engine (SRM) from the "Oreshnik" medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) has been published online. The photo was posted by the Military Russia portal.
Apparently, the demonstrated part is a development of the warhead stage control engine with multiple thrust reversal. It likely originates from the distant 1980s with the "Courier" or "Skorost" missile projects.
The engine scheme is presented in sufficient detail in a number of textbooks on solid-propellant and other engines.
The SRM allows controlling the warhead stage in roll, pitch, and yaw with full orientation in space. However, the engine in the photo is missing some elements.
A few days ago, a model of an unknown mobile launcher with a huge rocket was spotted in the office of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. It is likely a scaled-down model of "Oreshnik".
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the latest Svarog-Strela interceptor drone has entered the testing phase.
