A new version of the 130-ton "BelAZ-7513V" dump truck, powered by hydrogen fuel, was presented at a ceremony dedicated to the Day of Mechanical Engineer in the Minsk region of Belarus.
We are introducing a new mining dump truck, which is considered absolutely environmentally friendly, allowing no harmful substances to be emitted into the atmosphere. We are only launching it into series production, and accordingly, we will continue to develop in other payload classes.
The development of the new dump truck has been underway for several years, with the participation of leading engineers and designers from BelAZ. During the tests, the machine confirmed its high performance and reliability, meeting the standards for equipment operating in harsh quarry conditions.
It is noteworthy that BelAZ was the first in the world to present such a development. The company plans to create a whole line of heavy trucks running on hydrogen, with a carrying capacity ranging from 90 to 450 tons. The dump truck is equipped with a hybrid power plant using hydrogen fuel cells. The first batch of these machines will go to Sakhalin.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the gas-engine KAMAZ-6250 shift bus started operating at Gazprom.
