Оборудование для работы уникальной металлургической печи ЭШП-80 создали в Челябинске

The launch of the furnace will allow the creation of ingots weighing from 15 to 80 tons for the nuclear, oil and gas, and shipbuilding industries

At the Chelyabinsk Electrical Equipment Plant (ChZEO), energy installations were developed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of unique Russian metallurgical equipment — a three-station electroslag remelting furnace EShP-80. The launch of this furnace will allow the production of alloys for operation in extreme conditions. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry of the Chelyabinsk Region.

The unique three-station electroslag remelting furnace EShP-80 was installed at one of the metallurgical enterprises in St. Petersburg, but there was no suitable energy equipment for its uninterrupted operation. Engineers from Chelyabinsk came to the rescue, they created a suitable solution.

The energy equipment created in Chelyabinsk is equipped with a remote control system. All devices have a motor drive for the hardware trolley and grounding knives. Video cameras are installed inside. This allows you to control the position of the vacuum switch, as well as its shutdown and activation.

The operation of the new furnace will provide the nuclear, oil and gas, and shipbuilding industries with high-quality forging ingots weighing from 15 to 80 tons. Sheets and forgings will be made from them.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a unique alloy was created at MIPT.
