Мессенджер Max достиг 35 млн пользователей за несколько месяцев

Max's audience already covers approximately a quarter of Russia's population

Max Messenger, developed by VK, has reached 35 million registered users in a few months since its launch in June. This was announced by VK CEO Vladimir Kiriyenko at Kazan Digital Week.

In the summer, the number of users was only 100–200 thousand. Today, Max's audience covers approximately a quarter of Russia's population — about 25% of the country's 146 million residents. According to Kiriyenko, about 15 million calls are made daily through the messenger.

Max remains completely free for citizens of the Russian Federation. "What is closed by a premium subscription in other messengers is implemented in Max without payment," said the head of VK.

The application has already integrated a number of services, including the "Gosklyuch" mobile electronic signature technology, which allows it to be used for official and legally significant operations.

From September 1, 2025, Max must be pre-installed on all smartphones and tablets sold in Russia, and its inclusion in the register of Russian software reinforces the application's status as a key domestic digital product.
