Mooring trials continue on MPSV06 project rescue vessel "Kerchensky Proliv" in Vladivostok

Currently, the vessel is undergoing adjustment of the automation and remote control system

At the Amur Shipbuilding Plant of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) in Vladivostok, mooring trials of the MPSV06 project rescue vessel "Kerchensky Proliv" are ongoing. The company's shipbuilders are working at the delivery base, checking all systems and mechanisms of the vessel.

Currently, the vessel is undergoing adjustment of the automation and remote control system of the propulsion complex from the steering wheelhouse consoles.

The shipbuilders have successfully completed commissioning works, checking the frequency converters of the propulsion complex installed on the rudder propellers (RP) of both sides.

Specialists conducted tests, including the rotation of the lower RP gearbox around its axis and the operation of the propellers at 65% of the rated power of the propulsion engines. It is specified that further adjustments will be carried out during sea trials.

Technical characteristics:

  • length — 86 meters;
  • width — 19.1 meters;
  • displacement at draft along the LWL — 5127 tons;
  • speed — 15 knots.
